There are three possible reasons.
Firstly, it could be because you didn’t hold the pencil firmly enough when using it, causing the pencil to rotate under the drive of the electric pencil sharpener instead of the normal sharpening action.
Remember, the semi-automatic electric pencil sharpeners cannot be treated as fully automatic ones. The correct way of operation is to fix the pencil in place before cutting.
Secondly, the blade of the electric pencil sharpener might have become dull due to prolonged use. This usually happens after the blade has been used for one to two years or after sharpening a large number of pencils, resulting in poor sharpening effects.
Lastly, it could also be due to pencil lead jammed inside the blade head. In this case, you would need to contact the merchant from whom you purchased the electric pencil sharpener to find out the specific cleaning and solution methods.
However, it’s worth noting that the electric pencil sharpeners of our brand usually have an automatic lead eject function that allows for smooth pencil sharpening even when the blade head is jammed with lead.
